Distance Learning is the technology and educational process used to provode instruction when the teacher and student are not physically present at the sme time and/or place. The Distance Learning Coordiantor at Northcentral Coop is a resource for each coop member district to be used in order to create and maintain a quality distance learning enviroment for local students as well as students state wide.
Act 2325 Distance Learning Focus Areas:
To help alleviate the increasing shortage of available qualified teachers.
To provide additional course-scheduling opportunities for students currently forced to choose between courses that are scheduled infrequently or concurrently.
To provide an opportunity for students to access an enriched curriculum and additional courses beyond those mandated by the Standards of Accreditation of Arkansas Public Schools.
To develop and make available online professional development and instructional resources for all other teachers and administrators.
